Joey is a gorgeous, 3-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier currently looking for a new home in Bedfordview, Germiston. This sweet boy is incredibly people-oriented, playful, and affectionate. He absolutely thrives on human interaction and loves nothing more than being by your side, whether you're out for an exciting walk or settling down for a cozy snooze on the bed. Joey is a true companion dog who wants to be a central part of his family's daily life.
Unfortunately, Joey's current family works long hours. This has been incredibly difficult for Joey, who struggles with separation anxiety. When left alone for long periods, he cries and barks out of loneliness. Because of this, his family is urgently seeking a home where he won't have to spend long hours by himself, as they are deeply concerned about his distress and want to ensure he gets the attention he deserves before noise complaints become an issue.
Joey is fantastic with young children and currently shares a wonderful bond with a 3-year-old little boy whom he loves dearly. He is an indoor-only dog who loves sleeping on the bed or couch. He is a high-energy boy who loves to run, walk on a leash, and play. However, he is a bit of an escape risk when outside doors are opened, so his new home must have secure perimeter gates and vigilant owners who will keep him safe.
