She is highly affectionate and loves being close to her human companions, though she will let you know when visitors arrive with a few alert barks before happily accepting them once they are welcomed inside.
Tessa is used to being left alone for a maximum of three hours at a time. Her owners have always left the TV playing softly for her to keep her company while they are out. She is also a bit sensitive to loud noises and thunder, and she will actively seek out her humans for comfort and security when a storm rolls in or loud noises are in the air.
