This 5-year-old gentle giant (weighing in at a sturdy 7kg) was bravely scooped up by a Good Samaritan and is currently in her care, safe and sound but he is in URGENT need of a permanent, loving forever home where he can truly settle down.
Ozzy is the definition of a love bug. He absolutely adores being around his humans and is very obedient, already knowing several simple commands. If you love going on adventures, Ozzy is your perfect match—he is completely obsessed with tennis balls, loves his daily walks (he is leash-trained!), and goes crazy for car rides. While he is a bit "talkative" and likes to chat with you, he doesn't bark unnecessarily unless he senses something is wrong. Better yet, Ozzy is excellent with both other dogs and cats!
He is known to be a bit of an escape artist, so his new family MUST have a highly secure yard to keep this clever boy safe. When it comes to kids, Ozzy is a very good boy who never bites, but he can be a little wary of them at first, especially if they are loud. His strategy is to back off and observe until he feels safe. Once he realizes everything is fine, he will approach at his own pace and eventually join in on the playtime fun! Good with Children: Yes, though he is wary of loud noises. He will step back to assess the situation, but never bites. Once he feels safe, he warms up and wants to play.
Housetraining: He is house trained and newspaper trained.
Health/Special Needs: Perfectly healthy! Currently unsterilized, SA Yorkie Rescue sterilization procedures will apply.
Ideal Home: A home with a VERY secure yard (he is an escape artist), humans who will take him for walks and car rides, and someone ready to throw a tennis ball on repeat!
