Bruno is an 8-month-old male Yorkshire Terrier puppy looking for a patient and committed family who understands puppy development and is willing to continue his training using positive reinforcement. This young Yorkie is affectionate with people, full of energy, and thrives on attention, routine, and guidance.

Bruno is being rehomed because his high energy and playful dominance are not a good match for the older resident Yorkie in his current home. As a typical young Yorkshire Terrier, he is still learning boundaries and appropriate social behaviour. With the right environment and training, Bruno has the potential to grow into a well-mannered and confident companion.

  • Very energetic, playful, and people-oriented

  • Loves toys, balls, and interactive games

  • Affectionate and enjoys being close to his people

  • Confident, strong-willed, and still learning boundaries

  • Tends to be pushy and overwhelming with other dogs, especially smaller or older dogs

  • Prefers having people around during the day and may vocalise when left alone

Bruno does not show aggression toward people. His behaviour with other dogs is best described as puppy enthusiasm combined with a dominant play style, which can be too much for calmer or senior dogs.

Interaction With Other Dogs

Bruno currently lives with an older Yorkie, and his constant attempts to initiate play, take control of space, and demand attention have become stressful for the older dog. He does not read social cues well yet and struggles to settle when another dog needs space.

This is the primary reason for his rehoming.

Bruno would do best as:

  • An only dog, or

  • With a confident, playful dog of similar size and energy level, under guidance and training
